My December

The Christmas Market

On Saturday, the 27th November, Zwoenitz's Christmas market opened his doors. It was the first advent.

In Zoenitz angels and pitmen are typically Christmas. Also characteristical are the big Christmas tree and the big Christmas pyramid. Next to the angel you can see my little sister. Every year the pyramid is pushed by a lot of Santas (°:

I'm sorry, but this is the first video I edit. So it's a little bit blurred.
Heads up! Stop the playlist before you watch this video.

Baking biscuits

Every year in Christmas time I and my family bake biscuits. They consist of meal and dough which we bought. But familys often make the dough by themselves.

And here another little video. we baked biscuits and afterwards they were adorned by me and my sister (:

   St Nicholas' Day

It was in the morning of a normal Monday in December. But as I stood up and went downstairs I was surprised: Somebody fitted presents into my boots!

 My boots                                        My siter's boots

And than I remembered: 'Good grief! This isn't a normal Monday. It is the 6th December, it is St Nicholas' Day!'
Just in the evening before, at 5th December, I and my little sister Charline, called Carlie, cleaned our boots, so that St Nicholas can fit something into our boots.

In the afternoon our grandparents visted us. We drank coffee and ate cake. All in all it was a very nice day (:

The Winter in Germany

It's the December 1st - and everywhere in Germany is snow. But it isn't always really nice. It's cold, usally about -5°C to -10°C and wet. First of all if you come into your house or your flat with the boots you used to go through the snow. The snow which is on the boots starts to thaw and than everything becomes wet. Wet, wet, wet. Usally I accidentally step into the thawed snow and my socks become wet too. That's so frustrating! And if you go outside you have to be careful because it's glossy everywhere and so it's the danger of slipping. But the snow also has a silver lining, believe it or not :D An this silver lining can you see on my pictures. Well, at least I think you can see it :D

Our garden is capped with a lot of snow.

A snowman. Of course he isn't made by myself :D But he's cute, isn't he? (:

The snow on the trees is glistening in the sun.

Me in front of a fir tree. Or something like this xD

This is my little sister. She loves, loves, loves snow. Like every other little children too (:

 It's a meadow in summer.

I'm cock-a-hoop xD

A snow crystal. But the picture is blurred.

That's me next to a thing I don't know xD

Actually it's a sea but it's so cold that he's frozen.

The sea again. Here you can see that just little parts of the see aren't frozen.

A way next to a beck with trees around it.

Again trees which are glistening because of the snow and the sun.

I took this and many other pictures in a park called "Austelpark."

I think this is a kind of ruin, also in the "Austelpark".

The autumn is comming ... (:

I thought that the autumn in other countrys isn't like the autumn here in Germany. It's cold, usally about 10°C, and foggy. The most of time it's raining but sometimes it snows already in October. For these reasons I took some photos of my environment - in summer and in autumn as a contrast (:

The leaves is green. This picture was taken in summer.

And this picture was also taken in summer (:

Then the leaves are very colourful: red, yellow, orange, ...

And then the leaves will fall down.

When it's on the bottom, the most of the leaves become brown.

At the end of summer and the beginning of autumn mushrooms grow in our forests. I don't like mushrooms very much (:

I think that's one, you can't eat. But he has the colors of our german flag :D

I don't know much sorts of mushrooms. But this one looks yummy, right?

It rains ...

... and rains ...

... and rains ...

... the most of time.

But sometimes it could be, that the sun shines (:
